Education
De Montfort University, Ba(Hons) Design Crafts, 2:1 Winstanley College - HND National Diploma in Art Foundation, Merit Artist Statement Natural forms heavily inspire my
work; in particular, that of trees and the bark. I find bark fascinating with
the way it varies from tree to tree, the texture, the smell, the colour, and
especially abnormalities such as burls and gnarly areas. I have tried to
replicate some of these aspects in my work alongside my use of wood turned
pieces. I strive to produce functional tableware pieces but have started to
extend this range into jewellery.
